4.00 Notes ---- ----- * Frames now allows you to edit a complete game while you are replaying it. A new "Score" button has been added to the Game screen when you are replaying a game. To edit a shot, select it in the scoresheet, make any desired changes and then tap the "Score" button. Storing your changes permanently requies confirmation when you leave the Game replay screen. * A new "foul" indicator has been added to the Game screen header (above the pin deck, next to the "Pocket" indicator). To score a foul, tap the "Foul" indicator, then press the Score button. * The "Single Lane" move type has been implemented. This is for events that you bowl on a single lane. * Selecting the next or previous board on the target and position trols can now be done by tapping anywhere to the left or right of the current setting. Tapping the scoresheet will also select the next/previous shot, and tapping on the graph will select the next/previous data point. * Font handling has been improved. 3.14 Notes ---- ----- * When you finished a series and then exited Frames, the next time you ran Frames the previous, completed series was redisplayed with the last game shown as incomplete. THis issue has been corrected. 3.13 Notes ---- ----- * The Export data menu item stopped working on the previous release. This is been corrected. Frames will now ask for a location and file name when exporting or importing your bowling data. Also, the debug "Messages.txt" file will now be kept in internal storage, and must be manually exported (using a menu item on the main Frames screen) to copy it to an accessable location. Because of this change, Frames no longer requires any app permissions. * The font size has been increased to make it more readable on larger screens. * The Frames Users Guide (available on the Downloads page of our web site) has been updated for this release. 3.12 Notes ---- ----- * This release is just a re-compile to update the target SDK version. 3.11 Notes ---- ----- * The Import/Export menu items were not working because of a permissions issue. This has been corrected. * Frames would crash if you switched to another application while replaying a game; this has been fixed. * A new "display newest series first" option has been added to the Options screen for the "Scores" display. * The current Game screen state is now stored in internal memory instead of on the SD card - this allows Frames to store its state without needing any extra permissions. 3.10 Notes ---- ----- * The buttons on all screens could disappear from devices running Android 9 (Pie). This has been corrected. * It was possible on some devices that the font on the Game screen's score sheet was "hollow"; this has been fixed. 3.09 Notes ---- ----- * Frames now is compiled for version 4.03 or newer Android devices. This allows for the implementation of the menu bar (so the menu key is no longer required). * The font on the game screen's score sheet has been fixed. 3.08 Notes ---- ----- * Implemented single-player mode (use the Options menu item to set). 3.07 Notes ---- ----- * Fixed force close when reading from previous state file. * Fixed a bug where database read errors were not being caught. 3.06 Notes ---- ----- * Frames can now handle being forced out of memory while you are scoring. Frames stores its current state into a file on the SD card when another application gains focus, and restores its state from that file if necessary. 3.05 Notes ---- ------- * Frames for BlackBerry has been synced with Frames for Android on this release. * The following new statistics have been implemented (thanks to Wichita State coach Mark Lewis for the suggestions): "Double %" Strike percentage after a strike. "After X Pocket %" Pocket percentage after a strike. "All Spare %" Spare conversion percentage for all spare attempts. "Makeable Spare %" Spare conversion percentage for all makeable (non-split, non-washout) spare attempts. "Split Spare %" Spare conversion percentage for all split spare attempts. "Washout %" The percentage of all first balls that result in a washout (a "washout" is defined as any leave that would be a split except that the head pin is still up). "Washout Spare %" Spare conversion percentage for all washout spare attempts. (IMPORTANT: To get Frames to properly detect washouts on existing games, you must export and then import your data.) * The "Include splits in spare percentage" option has been removed, as it is no longer needed. * A new option, "Ignore 12th frame for doubles," has been implemented. If this option is set, shots in the twelfth frame (after two strikes in the tenth frame) are not included in the "Doubles %" and "After X Pocket %" statistics. 3.04 Release ---- ------- * If you selected a game number on the Statistics screen, the game number was sometimes not cleared in the internal "game filter," which could affect the games that were displayed on the Game List screen. * The apostrophe (') was not being translated correctly when Frames exported data. * If the End date field was set to a date on the main screen, but the Start date field was left "default," the specified End date was ignored. 3.03 Release ---- ------- * The date fields on the main screen work more consistently now - you can now set them to the current date, and if you set the Start date and the End date is "default," the End date will automatically be set to the same date as the Start date. Also, to reset a date field to "default," you can just set it to a date in the future. * Frames could get a force-close or lose the current game scores if you received a phone call while you were scoring an event. This has been corrected. 3.02 Release ---- ------- * XML control characters (ampersand, greater than, less than, single quote and double quote) were not being translated to references when data was exported. This would cause Frames itself, and the Exporter program, to generate an error when reading the export file. This has been corrected. * If the back button was pressed while Frames' "splash" screen was displayed, Frames would force-close. This has been corrected. * Deleting a bowler did not also delete the bowler from event rosters. This has been corrected. 3.01 Release --- ------- * This is the initial general release. 3.0.0d (beta) Notes ------ ------ ----- * Minor bug fixes and speed improvements. 3.0.0c (beta) Notes ------ ------ ----- * Deleting a series could delete too many games; this has been corrected. 3.0.0b (beta) Notes ------ ------ ----- * Adding an item to a list could cause corruption to the Frames data (like games and balls moving to the wrong bowler). This has been fixed. 3.0.0a (beta) Notes ------ ------ ----- * When displaying games, the screen will no longer go black while scrolling. * When running Frames on Android v3.0 or newer, selecting an item in a list (like the list of events or alleys) did not work. * Frames has now been tested on Android versions 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 3.2. 3.0.0 (beta) Notes ----- ------ ----- * Initial release.
